For the love of animals

This lovely figure of a woman on a horse is Italian and reminiscent of Gio Ponti from the 1940's. Looking around our shop, I'd say that we have quite a love affair with animals of all sorts, but particularly Italian Pottery animals. We have an unusual maybe even wicked singerie monkey. A large lounging Zebra who flirts with all the male customers. Zelda, our zebra, has this come hither look. There is a grand yellow elephant trumpeting to the sky. A happy white hippo, who Lewis can not bare to sell, much to the dismay of several customers. He should really take her home. We do have this thing for the Italian animals.
We have other animals. For the horse lovers a pair of andirons, straight from the Kentucky hill sides. We have an Mexican copper and brass parrot by Sergio Bustamane.Sergio Bustamante 1942- has become quite famous and his prices have skyrocketed his work has been copied so look for real quality in any piece that you think is done by him.

Below is a 19th century copy of the painting Young Bull by Paulus Potter which hangs in the Hague in Amsterdam.
